Did you know that August (and not February!) is National Read a Romance Month? I have to admit I didn't, until I stumbled National Romance Awareness Month in the Days of the Year calendar.
And I thought, "Well, yes, those two do go together!"
Romance Awareness Month is all about bringing attention to the idea that couples need to be romantic--but sometimes in our hectic worlds, romance gets pushed to the side. So perhaps in August, make an effort to strike a spark in your relationship. Don't wait until Valentine's Day!
And what better way to light a little spark between you and your honey than to, perhaps, read a romance novel together! Or better yet, read it to each other. (Yes, the spicy parts!)
I recently restocked my Kindle and shelved a few new romance books on Goodreads for future reading, and as soon as I'm finished writing the current novel, I'm setting aside some major romance reading time. After all, romance authors need sparks, too. Right?
