Tuckaway Bay Series, Book 6. Upmarket Women's Fiction*

Book Description
When women become too powerful, sometimes the past comes looking for revenge.
Willow Harper built an empire on women’s choice. Her sister, Wren, made certain no one could take it from them.
For years, the twin sisters operated in the shadows of power—among the secrets, scandals, and indiscretions of influential men—quietly controlling the narrative from behind the scenes.
Then the past came looking for retribution.
And the sisters are forced to run.
Wren and Willow disappear without warning, fleeing in opposite directions. From the Badlands of South Dakota to the secluded shores of Bermuda, the sisters must uncover the truth behind a decades-old act of revenge, a buried family secret, and the mother who abandoned them years earlier.
Anywhere But Here is an emotionally layered women’s fiction novel woven with psychological suspense, revenge, sisterhood, betrayal, and survival.

Twins Willow and Wren are on the run. Forced to go separate ways, they must come to grips with their past and someone bent on revenge. But who is it and what are they after? Wren lands in Bermuda and is forced to stay hidden while trying to uncover the truth. But the truth is hidden in the shadows, and Wren may not like what it reveals. Willow is on the run with the help of one man. She winds up in the Badlands of South Dakota unsure who to trust. The more the sisters expose, the more they realize the past is hunting them, and they have nowhere to hide.
Anywhere But Here is an unputdownable women’s fiction with psychological suspense, sisterhood, buried secrets, and a thrilling ending. This is book six in the series, and I have been waiting for Willow and Wren to have their own story. Madeleine Jaimes dug deep into the complex relationship of these sisters, and I was hooked from page one. The emotional narration is immersive. As the story builds, so does the suspenseful tension. There were many times when my heart was in my throat as I read. My heart went out to both women, but I connected most with Wren. She’s the caretaker of the two sisters and provides the strength for Willow to do her own thing. Alternating points of view allow the reader to fully sink into the story. Anywhere But Here is an unforgettable women’s fiction and the best thing I’ve read in a very long time. Fans of Kristin Hannah and Kristy Woodson Harvey will want to read Anywhere But Here.

FINALLY! Finally we get Wren and Willow's stories. And just when I thought I knew what was happening things change, the suspense increases, and I'm more worried than ever about the twins. What a great addition to the series. A bit of romance, a thriller edge, and mind-bending suspense--oh, and secrets. Anywhere But Here has it all.
Fascinating and suspenseful story of timeless revenge Thus far in this series we have been able to enjoy stories of four of the six college roommates who made lifelong friendships and reunion once a year at Tuckaway Bay with the exception of the identical twins: Wren and Willow Harper. On a previous beach reunion there were suspicious happenings that caused the twins to disappear and remain unreachable. In this book we discover the trials the twins endured afterward and why. Willow is wanted by the Law; their business quite literally disappears; and they believe somebody is out to ruin them. But why? So much to discover and uncover! The suspense builds so by the end of this book my cuticles were in very bad shape. There will be reconciliation, revelations, and revenge before the end of this book. If you like your mystery filled with wonderful or unsavory characters and questionable ones, you will want to read this book. By the time we determine who to trust and who not to, we are at the end. Loved that the author could keep us in suspense that long. So well written and enjoyable. Great ending. I would love an epilogue about Wren by herself. Willow and her escapades put Wren in the crossfire unnecessarily. I would love for Wren to get a completely good ending. Hint, hint, hint I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout and it comes highly recommended especially if you have read any of the other books in this series. If you have not, what are you waiting for? These books are great.
Anywhere But Here is book 6 in the Tuckaway Bay Series by Madeleine Jaimes. This series follows the lives of 6 women that met as college roommates, forming a lifelong friendship. The ladies have gotten together every summer for 20 years, in Tuckaway Bay, for what they call "Beach Week". Anywhere But Here is the story of what happened to twins, Wren and Willow, who disappeared during the previous Beach Week. I strongly suggest reading all of the books in order to fully understand the characters and enjoy the series. If that is not possible, reading Beach Therapy will introduce all these wonderful characters. Wren and Willow's story is full of action, intrigue, surprise and mystery. Their story is so well written it makes you want to keep reading to see what happens next. It is truly an entertaining page turner with a HEA.
I have so enjoyed all the books in this series, looking forward to to many more. Sharon Cole
