Workshop description:
To plot or not to plot? Is that really the question? Maybe not.
Plotters must plot. Pantsers get dizzy and head-spinny over the notion of plotting. There is no right or wrong way to write a novel—there is only your way.
This workshop shares ways plotters and pantsers can use discovery tools—genre, tropes, conflict, characters, setting, and more—to plan their stories. Once discovery happens, the writer can dig deeper into the story—by detailed plotting or simply jumping in and writing.
Workshop Objectives:
Participants will:
- Recognize there is no right or wrong way to write a book—just your way.
- Explore discovery tools to help you systematically find your way—and plan your next book.
- Apply discover tools within a small group practical experience.
